Rates and Charges

Standard Rates Following are standard rates for Type-thing Services.  They are provided as a service to you in planning your transcription needs.  We encourage you to contact us about specific jobs because we may be able to offer discounts for volume, long turn-around jobs, or identify methods to perform work at less cost for you.  We may also be able to price jobs in different methods including flat rate, cost per line, word, document, etc. if we have a better understanding of your activity. We provide these rates and options for your convenience in estimating costs.  In most cases these rates will apply; however, Type-thing Services may revise a job estimate based upon review of job parameters or audio quality.  We will also confirm if we have capacity to meet your rush or urgent transcription.

*Note: Medical terminology in a business transcription is for conversations, conferences, and similar transcription.  It does not include medical transcription.  See rates below for medical transcription.

Transcription - Legal

General Dictation, Pre-trial Interviews, Witness Interviews, etc.

This type of legal transcription is the same as business transcription.  See above.

Court Proceedings

This category of legal transcription has a wide variability in transcribed content.  We therefore charge by the page for this type of audio because it better represents the true cost of transcribing the content.  If you have a sample, we may be able to cost in other units.
